Greg Ganzkow is a native of Washington state, born and raised in Bellevue
where he graduated Sammamish High School in 1978 and then attended Gonzaga
University in Spokane Washington with a BA in Chemistry and was awarded
High Honors for his outstanding research in the chemistry field. He
graduated from the University of Washington's School of Dentistry in 1986.
While a dental student he became a part of the renowned and respected
Delta Sigma Delta Dental fraternity to which he is now Vice President and
will be inducted as President in the fall of 2009. He completed his
dental residency in Jackson Mississippi in 1987 and an externship in Fort
Worth Texas that same year. When he returned to Bellevue from his residency in 1987, he operated a mobile dental practice which covered the Puget Sound Region and became a member of the International Academy of Gnathology, Puget Sound Gnathological Study Club and the Seattle Orthopedic Gnathologic Seminar, which provides continuing education and training in the most recent dental techniques and procedures. It was during this time that he met his wife Karen, also a Washington native, who now enjoys working in the office one day a week. In 1991 he purchased an established practice in Shoreline Washington where he continues to practice today. He is a respected member of the community and participates and donates to several local schools and charities and continues to participate in several local, national and international dental groups. Dr. Ganzkow and his wife, Karen, have two children and assorted sized pets. They enjoy traveling to new destinations to expose the children to other cultures and traditions along with activities like skiing, biking and enjoying local events. Currently, the family is in the process of starting a new PTA based committee, Let's Clothe Our Kids, that will provide coats, clothes and shoes to local elementary school children that do not qualify for subsidized clothing thru the free and reduced rate programs. Their goal is to promote this program to other schools in the King and Snohomish counties. The family is looking forward to working with dental foundations overseas in the near future now that the kids are old enough to travel with them and help in the clinics.

While on vacation we had the pleasure of staying with a Hill Tribe family. Bonus: learning authentic Thai food preparation. Rayna and Cale had a great time handing out coloring books, crayons and candy to village children.
